When Jesus Christ died, we were liberated from every obligations of the Mosaic law. As sons of God, we were freed from the bondage of corruption, that is alienation from God in our minds. Although freedom was given through Christ as a free gift, some Christians are still living in bondage. They are enslaved by the deceitful loss of relying on themselves and their works.
We are not only free from the law but there is an expression of our liberty as a practice which we are to experience in Christ. We no longer live but it is Christ that lives through us that is why we stand fast in liberty. You will either live by the law or you will live by the faith of Christ alone, believing in the identity that He has provided to you. There is a difference between liberty and freedom. Freedom is a gift acquired by Christ and given to us freely while experiencing and expressing liberty is a choice”.
